Scholarship/College Credit Info

If you work or have worked in early childhood education and you're seeking additional credentials and/or a degree in early childhood education, you may be eligible for the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity (ECACE) Scholarship Program.

Heartland Community College is currently involved in a new online interactive (Prior Learning Assessment) PLA pilot that uses 21st century technologies to develop life-like scenarios in which participants are evaluated on their interaction with avatars in a virtual classroom environment.

Participants must have a high school diploma or GED and one year of experience working in ECE. A date has not yet been set for the free pilot which can potentially result in 12 hours of college credit that contribute to the Gateways Level 2 ECE Credential, but it should be in the next month or so.

I would recommend others to work for Scribbles Center for Learning because it is a great and positive staff environment. It is also a great environment to learn about motor development, behavioral and classroom management, and having fun with the kiddos.

- Miss Lane

I would describe Scribbles as a family. Every day I come to work I am surrounded by people that respect, listen, support, and appreciate me.
