Miss Rebecca HoltzmanMiss Rebecca graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Human Development (with an emphasis on Child Life). Prior to completing an internship at Evanston Northwestern Hospital's Pediatric-Adolescent Unit, Rebecca held a teacher assistant position at Thomas Metcalf Laboratory School and worked as a Guest Service employee at Children's Discovery Museum, both in Normal, IL.
Miss Jenna CarrMiss Jenna Carr has her bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She has worked as both a day camp counselor in Farmer City, IL, and a child fitness camp counselor at the YWCA in Bloomington, IL. She was most recently a member of the day care staff at Lady Wellness in Bloomington, IL and enjoys her role as Aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Miss Claire Christensen has a degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Psychology from Illinois State University. She was an intern at the Children's Discovery Museum in Normal, IL and worked as a research assistant for Dr. Laura Berk in revising the study guide for the 2008 edition of 'Child Development'.
Miss Vickie Swaney Vickie Swaney has worked in both home and center-based childcare centers in Bloomington (at the Deborah T. Thomas Learning Center) and Heyworth (Eva's Home Daycare). Vickie has worked with all age groups -- from infants through pre-school and after school tutoring. Most recently, she worked at the McLean County 911 Center, but was eager to get back to her early childhood roots. Vickie has a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University in special education with a minor in early childhood from Illinois State University, in which she was a member of the ISU Honor's Society.
Miss Erin Sullivan completed her BS in Early Childhood Education from Illinois State University after receiving an Associates in Liberal Arts from Lincoln College in Normal, IL. She has been a teacher in preschool and school-age programs and has completed clinical work with infants through third grade. Erin is a member of NAEYC since the Spring of 2007.
Miss Maryse Hessing Miss Maryse Hessing originates from Scotland with an education degree from the University of Stirling. She has taught in Scotland and the United States, most recently at Calvary United Methodist in Normal, Illinois. Maryse has two children who attend schools in Unit #5.
Miss Ashley StuartMiss Ashley has worked most recently as a teacher with Early Head Start in Dothan, AL and has completed coursework at Troy State University Dothan in Alabama. Prior to working in Dothan, Ashley worked at Midland City Head Start with preschool age children as a teacher’s aide and at Wee Care Day Care in Ozark, AL, providing child care.
Miss Katie OutlawMiss Katie Outlaw has her associate’s degree from St. Louis Christian College in Florissant, MO. She has worked at Clubhouse Childcare Center in Bloomington, IL as well as several learning centers in Missouri, including Kingdom Christian Academy, Early Childhood Prep School, and most recently, Childquest Daycare and Learning Center. Katie also enjoys spending her time teaching Sunday school .
Miss Michelle CarrilloMiss Michelle graduated with a bachelor's from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. She has both a passion for children and for animals. She has volunteered and worked at the Streator Child Development Center in Streator, IL and has spent time in Mexico volunteering at an orphanage. Michelle continues to pursue both her passions.
Miss Jaime IsaacMiss Jaime has worked as a 3-4 year old teacher, toddler teacher, and infant teacher for parts of seven years at Berean Baptist Church Daycare in Springfield, IL. She was Director of Children's Ministries (running activities for nursery through sixth grade) at First Christian Church in Clinton, IL. Jaime spent her most recent two years as a preschool teacher at St. Paul's Daycare and Preschool in Decatur, IL. She has a degree in Family Life Ministry with course work in Early Childhood Education.
Miss Gladys KhouryMiss Gladys Khoury was awarded her certificate in child development from Illinois Central College in 2001. She later taught 3 to 5 year old children while working at St. Vincent de Paul Preschool in Peoria, IL. Most recently, Gladys worked with the preschool program at St. Mary Catholic School in Bloomington, IL.
Miss Rose CapranicaMiss Rose Capranica has a her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a MS in Reading from Illinois State University. She has been a full-time teacher in grades 1-3 and has also been a Title 1 Reading Teacher with several grades. Rose has 7+ years of classroom teaching experience and she enjoys spending family time with her husband and daughter when she isn't teaching.
Miss Annie McGeeMiss Annie McGee graduated with a Physical Education Degree from Kent State University in Ohio where she was a NCAA Division I Volleyball athlete. She has spent the past two years as a high school Varsity volleyball coach and has spent her time in an elementary school teaching kindergarten through fifth grade. She looks forward to bringing her movement education and kindergarten experience into her teaching at Scribbles.
Miss Michelle Donnelly is completing her degree in Elementary Education this year at Western Illinois University. She has taught at 'Catch a Star Learning Center' in Macomb, Illinois and enjoys playing volleyball and basketball when she isn't working with kids.
